The software company has found added value in giving employees the opportunity to volunteer up to 40 hours a year with pay. Seen as a win-win, employees gain knowledge and new skills while helping charities out. In Canada Microsoft employees have contributed over 20,000 hours since 2003.
Here at Get Involved we are passionate about technology as a tool for social change. As social media evolves, more and more the opportunities for global collaboration for sustainability multiply as we are able to share our solutions for a better world. Recently Microsoft commissioned Seattle studio Oh, Hello to produce their vision of a sustainable future in 2019, conceptualizing how sustainability and technology will merge.
